The Full Story
Symmetrical Defiance is an Independent American metal band with over 4K followers and subscribers on Facebook and YouTube they have been viewed thousands of times.
Symmetrical Defiance has opened up for Canadian Death metal giants Goreguts at The Montage music Hall in Rochester, NY.
They have also opened up for A Killer’s Confession at the Westcott Theater in Syracuse and a slew of festivals like (Splat Fest, Hage Fest, Smite Fest, Anti-violence Fest and most recently opening up for the Brazilian band Soulfly in February 2023.
Their music and even the members have been in at least 6 indie movies and shorts online since 2013 when the band was formed.
After going through a couple of lineup changes along the way to finding the right musicians/ team to bring them to the next level.
They were featured in Wretched Sound Magazine 2020 first edition as one of the top 50 Metal bands in NY.
Symmetrical Defiance has released one EP (Chrysalis), 3 Singles (Waste of Mankind, Devour the Sun, & Is This The End) & two music videos.
Currently they are working on a new EP titled "Hate, Greed, Malice"

Devour the Sun was featured in the movie (Axe Grinder 666) of Sterling Entertainment & Mad Angel Films.
“Symmetrical Defiance was born of an idea that you can make music without rules and constraints. To meld together different genres in each song to have it be (in its own right) its own entity and sound. We aim to break the mold of the metal genre and make music organically.”
